Our partners share the vision that myGoodDeed was founded upon. Visit the about us section to see who our founders are and learn more about them.

About Us myGoodDeed was created in 2002 as a way to honor the victims and heroes of 9/11 and preserve the spirit of unity and compassion that existed in the nation following the terrorist attacks. We hope you’ll join people and organizations everywhere who are pledging to keep the 9/11 spirit of unity alive by performing good deeds on 9/11 and every day throughout the year. To date, more than 170,000 people have posted good deeds on our site.

myGoodDeed.org is the official Web site of myGoodDeed Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit public benefit corporation that was founded in 2002 to honor the victims, family members and survivors of the attacks on America, as well as the rescue and recovery workers and the thousands of volunteers who gave so much on and following 9/11. We pay tribute to them by working to establish 9/11 as a National Day of Voluntary Service, Charity and Good Deeds, and by encouraging individuals, employers and groups to perform good deeds during the week of 9/11 each year. myGoodDeed is not affiliated with any charity or organization. Our mission is to support all worthy causes. People and organizations that make pledges on our site will not be called or solicited in any way. It is entirely up to each individual or group to investigate their own opportunities, to decide what they want to do and to plan their own activities. However, through myGoodDeed partners, many choices and ideas are presented on our Web site.

The myGoodDeed.org initiatives are supported privately through generous contributions made by founders, suppliers, individuals, corporations, foundations and other funding organizations. The organization received approval of its tax-exempt 501(c)(3) applications in 2003 by the IRS and the states of California and New York.
